Welcome! I'm Emma Dixon—the designer behind Dixon Designs.
Dixon Designs is a creative studio offering interior design for everyday spacesand graphic design for small businesses. With a background in branding and interiors, I combine visual strategy with a passion for creating environments that feel true to you—whether you're launching a brand or transforming your home.

To help households and small businesses thrive through thoughtful, accessible design. I believe great design should be personal and purposeful—helping you tell your story with clarity and care.
WHY INTERIOR DESIGN
Creating a sense of home has always grounded me—especially during big life transitions. Even on a tight budget, I found peace in making my spaces feel intentional, comforting, and personal. That belief led me to earn a Master’s Certificate in Interior Design from the Heritage School, and now I help others craft spaces that reflect who they are and how they want to live.
EVERYDAY MOMENTS
When I’m not designing, I’m usually unwinding with a good book on my my patio, trying a new recipe (often from Alison Roman or The Modern Proper), or rewatching one of my comfort shows like Sex and the City or Schitt’s Creek. I love exploring Portland—whether it’s a tucked-away coffee shop or a creative new restaurant, I’m always excited to try something new and support local spots. I also take full advantage of living in the Pacific Northwest. Hood River is one of my favorite day trip destinations, and I never miss a chance to breathe in the salty air of the Oregon Coast—it’s truly life-giving.
HOW IT STARTED
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia, where creativity was always part of my life—painting, redecorating, dreaming up pretend businesses in my bedroom. That mix of imagination and entrepreneurship stayed with me, and eventually led to the launch of Dixon Designs, where I blend design with storytelling to help people feel confident in their spaces and branding.
WHY GRAPHIC DESIGN
After earning my Public Relations degree from Virginia Tech, I moved to Portland and quickly fell in love with its creativity, community, and small business spirit. I believe graphic design is more than aesthetics—it’s about telling your story, building trust, and making meaningful connections. With a background in visual communication, I’ve seen how strong, consistent branding can empower small businesses. My goal is to make the process approachable and collaborative, so your visuals feel authentic and true to you.
